‘Nineteen,’ was released at the tail end of 1985 shortly before Philip Lynott’s untimely death. The track was produced by Paul Hardcastle, who oddly enough, had a major hit with a completely different song with the same name only a few months before!

Is Stranger in a Strange Land Iron Maiden’s best song that they never play?

In 1986 Iron Maiden released the sci-fi themed album Somewhere In Time as a follow up to the massive hit that was 1984’s Powerslave.  The record was hailed as a masterpiece by some critics but was reviled by others, mainly because of the use of synthesizers, which were actually guitar synths and not keyboards as many thought.  The first Iron Maiden album to include fully-fledged keyboards was 1988’s Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son.
